Lydia Anderson
Before joining the magazine, Lydia worked for 10 years as an art director for BI Performance Services, where she developed corporate communications and marketing materials for Fortune 500 companies. Then, in 1997, she established her own company — Snow Dog Design — and expanded her corporate-marketing design work to include custom publications, including editorial and magazine design for clients like FedEx and the American Society of Interior designers. That’s how she met Pilar, Experience Life’s editor in chief: They worked together on ASID’s ICON magazine while consulting for Hanley Wood Integrated Marketing, and it all just clicked. In addition to her award-winning work as an art director and designer (Lydia helped Experience Life take home a variety of design awards, including three Ozzie’s for illustrated features and multiple best cover, best design and general-excellence awards from the Minnesota Magazine and Publications Association), she is a talented illustrator whose credits include multiple children’s chapter books. Lydia lives on a small horse farm in Red Wing with her husband, Steve (a tennis pro at Life Time Fitness), their two daughters, 4 horses, 3 dogs and 2 cats. She holds a BFA in Graphic Arts from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. |
